Less salt, less time. Let the excitement begin. I also make a shout out to Tommy Kono’s new book, I loved it!

Wunderbar, but I’d have to know that at least it was a name brand chicken. No -names are decidedly inferior in every sense. Smell alone tells the tale. If it wasn’t specifically named ,then these days it’s obviously a no-name. and God only knows, I think, what and how they were fed. But yes, you’re right one can eat healthier and cheaper by making ones own (often but not always believe it or not.) That’s why people buy fast food. Yes, I never wanted to believe this but it was demonstrated to me. Sad fact of American life..
Tommy Kono was always a hero of mine. I saw him, John Grimek, Bob Hoffman, the Bednarskis, Norb Shemansky(he was one scary dude straight out of the Detroit car mills of that age) at the ’64 Olympic Trials in NY at the World’s Fair. What a thrill that was. As always, best regards, gene

And I would have tossed the shredded chicken with some toasted sesame oil, and the veggies with some balsamic vinegar. But that’s just me, I can’t leave well enough along when it comes to cooking. I
