Odds and Ends from Last Weekend

August 12, 2010 in BLOG 7 Comments

I’ve been working on my next book(s) and really get spaced out. It’s like I forget what I am doing sometimes in one book and move into the next and get lost again. But, it’s going well. I think this is a great opportunity to move ahead in my writing career and I am taking it.

Things are going well otherwise. Tonight, I am making Cuban Chicken for Tiffini and it should either be excellent. Or not.

Today’s video blog. I love my 28k Kettlebell!

Thank you! I was wondering why you hadn’t replied and this is/was so much easier to understand. I’m going out to throw now.

    Hopefully Tiffini liked the chicken.

    You’re the Best!

That’s a cool tip, Dan. I stole an idea from Tony Blauer for a similliar effect- which is to rigidly extend the non-working arm, all the way though the fingers- fingers are spread maximally, triceps cramped hard. Works great.

Huh? You might elaborate on that throwing comment you made. It was a bit sketchy. About the pinkie and the lat etc. I think people sometimes speak in a kind of short hand if they think a thing is too obvious, but it’s hard to get to, ‘too obvious’. ta-dah. I caught your drift on the squeezy thing but couldn’t see it really. Thanks Dan.

I bet the chicken was good. A good cook- use your senses, pay attention to detail, try your best. You got all that down. I bet you can cook. gene

Ok Dan… I’ve had a few days to think on it and realize that tolerance and forgiveness is in order, so I’ve un-deleted you and reinstated you to my top 5 list of greatest heroes in the training industry… lol

All kidding aside I just want to thank you for all your contributions. Your latest article in T-Nation has already paid dividends. At 53 years old 6’4’’ 210lbs (former 290lb fatty) based on your article I took this entire week from off from the gym for recovery. I’ve currently completed the second cycle of Jim Wendlers 5-3-1 program. I was going to push/pull my Prowler but because of your advice and the way my body felt I’ve taken the week off. I feel great… rested and recovered.

    Thank You!

You probably have a future in radio.

Dan, the video/blog is a great idea. 1. You’re good at it and can actually demonstrate things. 2. You can ‘save’ most of your writing mojo for more substantial things like ‘Never Let Go’ which I’ve just finished and loved.
(I’ve sent you an email with a more private question.)
