Mass Made Simple

This is Dan John’s new bulking guidebook for those who need to build strength and size. This is a 7×9 inch, spiral bound lay-flat book consisting of 119 pages of text, followed by a 6-week training log.

Tried and true, Dan describes exactly what’s to be done to add mass — what, when and why. Each week’s workout plan is laid out, and each day’s workout is preplanned, every rep scheduled, later to be documented in the fill-in-the-blanks log pages. Here’s an example of one of the log pages:

Mass Made Simple is a foolproof muscle building plan. The program design is brilliant. It features the safest, technically and loadwise, high rep squat progression I have ever seen. It makes a smart use of ladders and complexes. It delivers. Another two thumbs up for Dan John!

~Pavel Tsatsouline, author of Beyond Bodybuilding

Menu and supplement tweaks are adjusted weekly to match the needs of the week. This program calls for additional protein powder, creatine and fish oil.

Once you read this short, clear manual, you’ll know exactly what to do and when to do it. All that’s left is for you to faithfully fill in the blanks of the log sheets and watch the scale climb.

Hi, Jonathan, Laree here… Dan’s publisher. Great to get the feedback about putting our books on Kindle (other readers coming soon, I promise). I know we were late to the party, but surprisingly still ahead of the curve.

About Mass Made Simple, I’m not so sure on that one. The book is heavily formatted (older kindles won’t handle the formatting as well as the newer kindle and especially ipad and the like), but more than that, a big part of the book is a structured training log. I can’t see how we get that to kindle, and without it, a big part of the value would be lost. We’re thinking about how to handle it, but the answer isn’t at all clear. Yet.
