Get Up!

Welcome to the Get Up! Newsletter. Feel free to read and download all the editions. There are articles from Olympic Gold Medalists, the “first” reports about the Chinese Olympic lifters new training methods, secrets from all over the planet, fun discussions and ramblings from normal people trying to doing amazing things. The most important thing is that we welcome anyone who wants to share some insights about training, life, nutrition and whatever else would fit into our work.

As you scroll down, realize that some of the ideas have built on earlier editions. There is a lot (literally reams of paper, if you print it out), so take your time and enjoy.

If the mission of this newsletter is the mission (The Goal is to keep the Goal the Goal!), then, this is one you have to read…
Volume Seven, Number Nine of “Get Up!”

Two “Lost Editions” from Tim Diener:
Vol 5 No 06
Vol 5 No 08

Duane returns with Part Two of his O lifting insights. Adam T, an old friend, pipes in on some discus keys. The editor rambles on about something…

Volume Seven, Number Eight of “Get Up!”

Wow. Honestly, Duane and Dave have knocked it out of the park here. Mad ramblings from the Editor in Chief, too.

Volume Seven, Number Seven of “Get Up!”

I’m surviving the annual spectacle of the Irish in Utah. Our Parade represents “the rest of us” in this fine state. Read. Learn. Good edition.

Volume Seven, Number Six of “Get Up!”

Well, the editor (aka “The Idiot”) thought there was a January edition. There wasn’t. So, this edition is still February, but it is a solid one with the return of Gary John and a new author who is far too good for this rag.

Volume Seven, Number Five of “Get Up!”

Two readers teach us lessons. Dan goes on and on about something.

Volume Seven, Number Four of “Get Up!”

New Sandwich? Ham on Strength. Witt on Injuries. New Contest for our eager readers.

Volume Seven, Number Three of “Get Up!”

The October Edition. New Authors! New Insights!

Volume Seven, Number Two of “Get Up!”

The September Edition. New Author! Plus, some insights from a successful year.

Volume Seven, Number One of “Get Up!”

The May Edition. A little explanation from the editor about the “tardiness of this edition, a nice little piece from David Witt on the reality of strength and throwing and a nice little article on Dad’s that nobody wanted…

Volume Six, Number Eight of “Get Up!”

My RKC Edition, February 2008. I just got back and I am tired, so tired I misplaced some of the author information, but, hey, it is a good edition. Dave Witt has some great insights and we have a New Daddy workout worthy of a better publisher! Also, gems from Pavel.

Volume Six, Number Seven of “Get Up!”

New Year’s Edition, 2008. Excellent insights on training dancers, a discus training template and some fun ideas about functional training.

Volume Six, Number Six of “Get Up!”

Thanksgiving Day, 2007. Includes Part Two of a “First Person Account” of a Highland Games, Earl Curry’s Review of the National Throws Conference and yet more “Rejected Articles from our Editor’s Vast Collection of Rejection.”
